Hotel Hiberus Zaragoza 2008
The Hotel Hiberus Zaragoza was inaugurated in 2008, coinciding with the Expo Zaragoza, which revolved around the theme of water: the project was entrusted to the Martínez Lapeña-Torres studio of architects. The architect Elías Torres commissioned us to provide a piece that would play with the characteristic blue tones of water. With this in mind, the result was a collage of colours, an immense patchwork of irregular rugs following the layout of one of the hotels interior courtyards.
We produced 11 different rugs in 8 tonal colours (blues, turquoises and purples). Each rug was hand made in 100% wool (New Zealand) using the hand-tufted technique, and measured between
7 m2 and 26 m2.
