Centro George Pompidou Paris (France) 2008
To mark the “No Discipline” exhibition, a retrospective show of the work of the architect and designer Ron Arad in the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, we were commissioned by the artist himself to manufacture a 13.11m x 6.21m rug. This had to be made up of various different piles and go with the sofa from the Do-Lo-Rez collection, which the architect designed for the Italian firm Moroso. Following his initial design and adapting ourselves to the safety requirements of the exhibition room, we produced a hand tufted rug with four interlinking pieces. The collection has 5 different piles and 10 different tonalities.
