Ana Mir

Fine Arts Degree in Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, MA ID Master Of Arts In Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, London (1992-1994). Master studies in the UK were funded by Valencian Government IMPIVA. Has shared Emiliana Design Studio based in Barcelona with Emili Padrós, working together on different commissions and at the same time developing individual research projects. Has participated in national and international group exhibitions and workshops and lectures in Berlín, Roma, London, New York, Sao Paulo, Reykjavik, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. Ana has had two solo exhibitions, Shock Design (2001) and Sin título (2003) at the gallery H2O in Barcelona. In 2002 Ana was asked to submit several of her designs to the permanent collection of Fons Nationale d´art Contemporain- FNAC of France. Emiliana Design Studio curated the exhibits, Alehop! designs, ingenious things and remedies at Palau de la Virreina, and Urban Therapies at the Colegi d’Arquitectes; both during the 2003, year of design in Barcelona. Has particpated in Forum de las Culturas 2004 with the installations La Fira, Speaker’s Corner and the exhibition El món on ens agradaria viure. Currently he is preparing the design of the exhibition Nature and Art. Gaudí, Dalí, Miró, which will take place in the Toyota Museum of Japan, within the World Exposition Aichi 2005. Prizes: Special mention BARCELONA CITY AWARD IN DESIGN 2003 for Alehop!
