Voted for by the 25 editors-in-chief of Elle Decoration magazine around the world, the prize recognizes global excellence in the interior design world. The ceremony will be celebrated during Salone del Mobile in Milan.

We have been awarded the first prize in the category of best design management in small company.
The DME Award is the first award that recognizes the contribution of design management in business strategy. These awards are considered the Oscars of design management, and an appreciation of the excellent quality and a strategy for success in managing the design.
Last week Delta prizes were awarded, was the 34 th Convocation International best product design and nanimarquina obtained the Delta Selection with Spiral rug by Martín Azúa Spiral and Gerard Moliné.
The new nanimarquina store has been awarded the “Barcelona, the best shop in the world” award in the “Best commercial initiative” category in 2010.
Carme Rusacalleda, Rosa Tous and Cristina Castañer were awarded in Cape Town (South Africa) with the delivery of prestigious awards IWEC 2010 in recognition of his career. Nani Marquina accompanied the three awardees in a whirlwind tour as a representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and as a winner in the 2008 edition.
Prizes IWEC – International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge are an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce Manhattan (New York) and FICCI / FLO (the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Section female) with support from the U.S. State Department. IWEC’s mission is to develop a global network of successful business for women entrepreneurs by helping them gain access to international markets.
Potten textile containers, designed by Renske Papavoine for nanimarquina, have been nominated for the Toon Van Tuijl Award. Papavione’s original product (whose innovative material has also been selected for the Delta Awards), was been chosen among 45 varied designs.
Only two products have reached the end: Potten and Home Sweet Home by Lace Fence – Demakersvan, a high-end metal fabric that gives new insights in how you can create unique environments. Both products are designed in Europe and made in India. Leer más »
Nani Marquina has been distinguished with the Premi Nacional de Cultura 2008 in the Design Modality by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The Jury, presided by the Conseller de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació, Mr. Joan Manuel Tresserras, has granted the prize to the designer “for having turned the brand nanimarquina, created twenty years ago, into a social model of company devoted to the design and making up of textile products“.
The Jury has also considered that Nani Marquina “apart from investigating the raw materials and from cooperating with many creators, has transferred production to the North of India, to work with craftsmen who know ancient techniques and traditions, thus promoting economic emancipation through culture.”
The Premi Nacional de Cultura of Generalitat de Catalunya is annually granted to people or entities for the contributions or more relevant activities of their respective cultural environments, developed throughout the previous year. They were instituted in 1982, and they are continuative since the Generalitat sponsored them between 1932 and 1938.
On 3rd June Nani Marquina, with the support of Barcelona’s Chamber of Commerce, travelled to Manhattan to collect the 2008 International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) award from the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce in New York, in recognition of her entrepreneurial initiative and best business model.
