To create the big patchwork of rugs we need two hours of assembly where the whole nanimarquina team participated. Here we show you how we did it.

The Virreina Square is one of the most emblematic places of the Barcelona district of Gracia, because of its church and for its life. The terraces of the bars and the many trees make it an ideal place to spend summer evenings.

We started sweeping the place and taking the 60 rugs to the center of the square.

There were rugs of our catalog and special designs.

To minimize the effects of the street, we were prepared with traditional Indian brooms to keep the space clean.

Around the square we explain with our logo and a text that we wanted to do.

After one hour of setting up, the drawing began to take shape.

But the final details were still missing.

After more than two hours mounting we completed the drawing and that’s when the party started. Children were the first who dared to step on the carpets and enjoyed the space.

It was an unforgettable experience where design, textures and colors were the starts.

In addition to the many people and friends who came to Barcelona’s legendary square, many media do not want to miss the event. Nani Marquina was the protagonist above the rugs of several television interviews. Here you can watch on of the interviews in Television de Catalunya in the program Els Matins de TV3.
