On Thursday May 31 Espacio Sirvent organized a special event and invited Nani Marquina to do a lecture about the craft and innovative design.

The hosts, Luis and Juan Sirvent, created a special exhibition regarding the 25 years of nanimarquina where there was the new Chillida Collection.

In addition to the Chillida Collection , were also displayed in the shop window Losanges Collection designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Little Field of Flowers rug by Studio Tord Boontje.

The shop window from the outside was very spectacular.

The building where Sirvent is was designed by architect Alfonso Penela from Vigo and was awarded with the ENOR award and also it was a finalist in the FAD Architecture Awards of the year 2006. Sirvent has nearly 3,000 square meters of space and a front of 60 meters long.

Thanks to the great call made by Sirvent, a design referent in Galicia, over 250 people attended the conference and cocktail party that took place afterwards.

Nani Marquina’s visit to Vigo also had a major impact in the press and many newspapers have devoted an interview.
